When we go to other countries to work, being aware of the differences between our home culture and where we live and work become extremely important. What sorts of things, like debt, social issues, adn cost of living, should foreign employees be aware of? |

I believe they should know the market ranges of food, and expenses like oil, rent, taxes, and etc before fully planning a trip to Bahrain or staying completely. |

But somehow, most of them I do know don't aware these kind of things which is completely important for their next stop in their future environment. Bcoz, what do they know or care is a place or spot that they could stay & earn some money for their life. Anyway, this is hardly important for our knowledge. Fully understand the whole environment before we move in is the best way to avoid any of the avoided issues such as food, peoples, even the lifestyle either. |

I believe this is a common thing everywhere as people and their culture vary from place to place. In most cases it would be better to have a glance about the laws that are crucial for westerners to understand other than that there is no much big problem in it. |

guess it our own expense to be guarded off to all what will going to do, with different environment one should also be able to accept ones culture and any practices. but bahrain i guess is not that strict? |

Can anybody "HELP" I left Bahrain of my own back as the Company I was working for refused to accept my resignation, therefore my work permit was not cancelled before I left (Nov 08). My work permit expired in February of this year. I left the country owing no money and settled all my affairs. Is it still possible for me to visit Bahrain, the work permit stamp is still on my passport. Regards Mclayoscar |
